Ranger or Morelli?

Yes, we've asked ourselves for years, Why isn't there a Stephanie Plum movie or TV series? I understand now from my good friend, Annie Solomon, that there's a movie in the works.

Katherine Heigl will play Stephanie Plum in ONE FOR THE MONEY. Sorry, gonna have to see that to believe it. She's not who I pictured as Stephanie, but I'll withhold judgement until I see the movie.

Irish-born Jason O'Mara will play Joe Morelli. Given that O'Mara played a chilling serial killer in THE CLOSER, he definitely has the acting chops to play one of Stephanie's two favorite men friends. He's a dreamy-looking guy, and I remember him from a BBCAmerica series, MONARCH OF THE GLEN, where he played a recurring character named Fergal.

Daniel Sunjata will play Ranger and from his photos, he'll make a great sexy bail enforcement agent. I haven't seen him in anything, but he's definitely got the look down pat, meaning he's smouldering HOT.

Like the TWILIGHT fans who are split between Jacob and Edward, Evanovich fans are divided into two camps: Morelli and Ranger. I'm firmly in the Morelli camp, but the appeal of a dark bad boy type like Ranger holds a great deal of appeal.

All that male lusciousness aside, I'm looking forward to the Stephanie Plum movie(s). Yes, I think there'll be more than one. The books are too much fun, and I've read all of them except the last two. Personally I'm waiting for the Kindle prices to go down. If they don't, then I'll buy paperbacks and pass them on to my mom who doesn't care for techie toys.

So which one do you want Stephanie to be with: Joe Morelli or Ranger?

Couldn't care less about the Edward/Jacob situation, but I want Stephanie to be with Morelli so I can have Ranger for myself. I suspect a lot of us Ranger babes probably feel that way.

LOL, that's a good way to think about it.

I haven't watched or read Twilight, but based on looks alone, I'm all for Jacob.

Personally, I'm a Ranger fan. My mother is a Morelli fan, so we have great discussions when the books came out.

Took forever to get my mother to read the series, but when she finally did, she became a big fan too.

Neither of us have read the last two, but I'll be getting them soon, I hope. I haven't had a good Stephanie Plum dose in a while.

Candice, my mom is a rabid fan of the Stephanie Plum series. Once she got use to the "bad" language, she recommends them to all her friends, but carefully warns them about the "bad" language. She also laughs out loud as she reads, especially at Grandma Mazur's antics.

Oh, I was just blogging a couple weeks ago about Janet, my love of Janet, meeting Janet etc... I have a pin that says I love Morelli, but I love Ranger too. I'm going to go Google those two actors. I don't buy Katherine H either as Steph. I could see Sandra Bullock in the part. Anyhow, I just finished Fearless Fourteen.

Okay, I went. I Googled. I used to watch Life on Mars w/ Jason O'Mara, but he looks very Irish, not very Italian. I love Daniel S. in a lot of things. I hope I'll be pleasantly surprised, but these people to me are TV stars, not movie stars, although I know they've had small movie roles. Cross fingers.

I love Ranger's allure (and penchant for awesome vehicles), but I'm a Morelli girl at heart :)

Jason has some great acting chops; he was a creepy serial killer in The Closer. But he definitely looks Irish. I think I'll be able to suspend disbelief.

Sunjata is scrumptious from the photos I've seen. I will definitely see this movie.

I know what you mean, Gretchen. Morelli is the kind who'll stick around.

Omg Daniel Sunjata. He is going to be a star. Didn't Clooney and Denzel start on TV? Hmm. And what a piece on man-cake!! He was awesome in Lie To Me as that scary serial rapist. And when I saw him in Devil Wears Prada I knew he had incredible range. Definitely enough range for Ranger lol oh what I wouln't give for one night with that man.
