Countdown to Nationals

It happens to me every year at about this time. A mix of excitement and panic--Nationals is coming up! And every year I don't have half done of what I needed to finish before leaving home. This year is no exception.

I have a book to finish, a pitch to write, revisions from my editor coming any day now, and a ton of personal things too. I may have to sacrifice sleep to accomplish half of it! But sleep is overrated, right? LOL

The worst part is, I've had plenty of time to get stuff done. I'd love to blame my lack of progress on the to do list of doom on having 3 kids home for the summer. And yeah, some of it is that. I must confess a good part of it is just pure laziness though. I'm hoping publicly confessing will motivate me to get busy! (Hey, I'm writing this blog a day early so maybe it's already working lol!)
