We're sweltering here in the Northeast United States. Besides the obvious option of cranking up the AC -- we only have one window unit in the master bedroom -- I've been trying to think of other ways to keep the kids, and myself, from melting.
One dd opted to fill a Ziploc baggie with ice and place it strategically in her shirt. (GGG) We've also had water balloon 'wars'; two-shower days -- producing extra loads of towels in the washer; and have ingested copious amounts of ice cream, watermelon, and Popsicles. If you have to be miserable, the least you can do is enjoy it on some level. :)
We also limit outdoor activity to the early mornings and early evening. Not an easy task with some three acres of yard to tend. But at least the weather is good for our blueberries, raspberries and tomato plants.
So what do you do to beat the heat?

I'm a little more used to the heat that you are. We're having typical July weather--90s. Basically anything outside thehouse, including errands I do before ten. After that I kick back with the central AC. I don't keep it really cold--about 76-76. I still turn if off at night and use the ceiling fan in my bedroom. That's usually enough.
So sorry it's so hot, Meg! Try to stay cool.
