What made me take lots of pictures and mental notes were the guys in Styx. And if my computer were not dead right now, I'd upload photos. Two of the front men for Styx were dressed in what can only be described as old-school romance novel hero outfits. I'm sure that's not what they were going for, but the tight jeans, flowy neck wear, chains on chests peeking out of pirate-cut shirts... Plus, the long hair and the Errol Flynn facial hair... I was waiting for a sword to replace the guitars ; )
I'm sure at some point my husband will ask why we have so many pictures of those two men when we were actually there because we wanted to see his buddy Todd on the drums. But when he sees me pounding away on the keyboard writing another book (if I ever get my computer back!!), he'll understand.
My mental writer is now firmly locked on Historical. Excuse me while I go find a pen and paper...

What fun! Yes, inspiration lies in the most mundane things. I was at lunch with an old high school friend and she told me about something I'd never heard of "geo-caching". It wasn't five minutes into her telling me about it that I was trying to figure out how to use it in a RS novel...and I did. Don't know if I'll ever write it, but it sure was interesting if somewhat bewildering.
And don't get me started on "flash mobs". *shakes head*
