Calgon please take me away! I said please.

Well, still not writing. The last week and a half has been a bit bumpy. Had a sick kitty and I love my kitties. He's doing much better since his visit to our amazing vet, so my mind hasn't been on much besides him and the fact that apparently I've got bad Karma and I don't know why. Since the beginning of the year, we've had like 5 or 6 things break on us. First, it was my Sony PC. Then my washing machine. Had to buy new ones. Before I bought the new Dell, I was using my laptop, which was a year old but was hardly ever used, blue screen after blue screen later. Thank God my son was able to fix it. In the meanwhile, my car's timing belt broke and my husband replaced it but for some reason it wouldn't run right and now it won't run at all. Two days ago, his car's transmission went out and he's now driving his old Zuki that's on its last leg. So, then we're cutting the grass. We have a rider and a push mover. Anyway, push mover died. You see where I'm going. Had to buy a new one. I'm waiting for the next shoe to drop. We seriously can't afford for anything else to break on us. Calgon take me away and if you have any good karma to spare anyone, please send it my way because clearly I need it.

Sometimes it seems like we have a black cloud hanging over our heads, but aren't dark clouds supposed to have a silver lining?

You have your health and your kitty is better. Mercury is out of retrograde so things mechanical should start to improve.

I've been through troubled periods like the ones you've mentioned and it seems like they'll never end. But they will.

Being too distracted to write is a real factor for me as well. Keeping my fingers crossed for things to improve at your house.

Thanks, Marie-Nicole, I sure hope it does. I'm ready for that silver lining--then again, I did sell to Liquid Silver. <<>>

Jerri,

I've had that same little black cloud hovering over me at times. As Marie-Nicole said, you have your health and your kitty is better.

Don't beat yourself over not writing. You've got enough on your plate right now. But things will improve. They always do.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you too. Good luck.

So much for the adage bad luck comes in threes. I'm sorry your year's been so stressful, Jerri. Writing can be a way to escape these pressures, but if the need to write is having the opposite effect, just let it go.

One day at a time, one day at a time.

Jerri, hun...it's only going to get better from here. I'm sorry your muse isn't working with ya. Been there, done that. Sorry for the bad luck, too. I have to say the month of May has brought me nothing but GOOD luck. I'm just scared it's not going to last... lol
